Thailand pics
I forgot to put up some photos from the remainder of our trip to Thailand. After the ADRA Australia/NZ workshop we stayed on in Chiang Mai for three days. We stayed in the sister hotel of the Imm Fusion - this time called Imm Eco.
It was more of a flash backpacker place, but was great. It is in an old school, so we had to teach every tuk tuk driver how to get there. A bonus of being in an old school was the really big pool. We all got varying degrees of suntan in that one.
We made one day tip where we went up to a cave about an hours drive from Chiang Mai. The tour through the caves lasted about an hour. It was by kerosene lamp and we got to see plenty of bat poo. Some places were really tight - where Keira could walk through and the rest of us had to crawl. Overall Alesia enjoyed her first caving experience. Keira didn't really enjoy it. I had fun seeing what the camera could do in low light without using a flash. The picture below was taken by resting the camera on a pole. Alesia ran through the frame while the picture was being taken - which I think creates a nice ghostly affect.
On the way home we called into a tiger farm (on the suggestion of our driver). It wasn't as bad as we thought. Natalie and I took Alesia in to play with adolescent tigers. Alesia took some convincing, but ended up enjoying herself.
