Life without Daddy after the holidays

Alesia is trying to adjust to not having new holiday friends every day to play with, so she lined up her friends at home to watch Play School one afternoon. I think they behaved themselves very well. Later when Keira woke up it was time to demonstrate Alesia's snazzy winter wear - gifts from this birthday and last year. Keira was happy to oblige mostly....

With Chris away in the Solomon Islands Alesia and I decided to make an easel for chalk drawing and painting. We have converted one end of the balcony into a studio. We had fun painting a few coats of blackboard paint onto the board, finding and painting the letters of the alphabet, and being clever to stick pegs onto the board for painting paper. The studio has excellent light in the mornings (we have a balcony that faces north, great for winter sun), the light is so good that at times Alesia does need to dress appropriately for painting!

Keira had her first bounce in the Jolly Jumpter. She loved it. Alesia hated it, so the thing did not get much use in PNG. And no, her head just happens to be on an angle in the photo - she can hold it up very well now...(for those of you who don't like Jolly Jumpers!). Keira is so placid that she is pretty much happy anywhere now, so long as she has people around to watch. She really loves watching Alesia playing around her.
