This block of lovely mint green apartments houses the ADRA Mongolia office (three apartment's worth) and our apartment. It has something to do with diplomatic things, and has that in its name. There used to be a lot of embassy's here, but most have moved elsewhere to better quality accommodation. So we are shabby chic I guess...It is very central - takes me 10 minutes to walk to a reasonable supermarket (reasonable for me as I can use my credit card - still working out the currency).
I will take more photos of the inside of the apartment once we have things set up (could be months before our cargo from Australia arrives - which is making things quite hard). In the meantime, here is Keira peering out of the bath. She loves her bath here - we all do, as it is nice and deep and due to the difficulty at the moment of getting water temperature ok for a shower we are all having evening soaks. Pity I have nothing to read in the bath at the moment except ADRA Mongolia project proposals! Now that I have my laptop connected I will have to print some interesting things from the internet...don't have a printer yet - oh well.
Alesia has been quite sick. Natalie felt one of the reasons was that she was getting cold legs when we went outside. So we went to a shopping district and got her some thick thermals for $5 and these fleecy lined pink pants. She loves them - but can't wear them for long inside as they are really very warm.
We decided that Keira needs regular doses of Vitamin D (about 15mins of sun a day) so we felt Alesia's cough could handle a walk outside. This is Alesia and Chris on the footpath outside our apartment block, heading for a small frozen park.
This is the gate to the small frozen park. I am still taken by how the snow covers everything, turning even an ugly pile of broken bricks into something lovely. Keira was not impressed by having her face put in the sun. No photos (I was holding the camera) but for those who saw our new baby carrier and winter coat it is working very well. Keira always comes home from a walk outside with warm cheeks and a toasty belly.
