I finally got to the sewing machine.
I decided to make a softie using one of Alesia's princess drawings as inspiration. Parts of it were harder than I thought (the head was originally rounder, and I had to cut the crown out three times), but for a first effort I am pretty happy. I only used scraps from around the house, except for the stuffing in the dress. You can compare the finished product above with the original drawing below. Yes, I know the drawing has feet but I decided that some artistic direction was needed as those feet are pretty clunky.
Alesia wants more jewels on the dress, but otherwise was impressed!
