Birthday Boy

On February 22 Chris had a birthday. We had to have a party, it is unimaginable for Alesia not to have a birthday party. Chris said he just wanted to play boardgames and eat pizza. His actual birthday fell on a Sunday, so we were able to arrange a nice afternoon and evening of boardgames with some friends. We managed to avoid any balloons this time (I am still finding partially deflated balloons from Keira's birthday back in November). Thanks to Adam Deverall (Chris' best buddy from highschool) we have a great collection of games over here. Most got a workout (we have still yet to figure out Saun Jaun though Adam). I think we have some converts to Carcassonne.

I made double choc muffins for the cake - I seem to have more success with muffins than cakes lately. These muffins are great, as hidden inside is a square of chocolate. If I get things right the first bite gives a big mouthful of soft chocolate. I got them right this time. Keira was very helpful, blowing all the candles out before Chris could even take a breath. Now Alesia is just counting down the days until her birthday (in April).
