I have just spent two hours working on my uni assignments and my brain is pretty dead. Alesia and Chris are out at the "swings and slide" so I can work without Alesia bringing little treasures to me to talk about. She has stopped napping during the day now, which makes the days long sometimes, but in return sometimes she sleeps in until 8am. This week was the week of toilet training. We are almost there. Alesia is doing well for number 1s now, and really likes her hot pink undies with stars on them. We have to put a nappy on for number 2s though, but at least we are down to only one nappy for that (she tells us when she wants it) and an overnight nappy. Small things really, but very significant in our house.
I am into countdown mode with work, aiming for some important meetings on 8-10 November. Then after that it will be a matter of doing what I can get done right up until the baby is born. Chris is travelling to Indonesia on the 29 October and will be back in the first week of November. So we are instructing the baby to stay put until he gets back. I will probably work out a back-up plan this week so I am not taking Alesia with me into the delivery suite if the baby decides to come early.
Our weekend turned out to be expensive with the Renault letting us down for the first time. It wouldn't start yesterday afternoon, so we had to join NRMA on the spot to find out what was wrong. Turns out it was a bad battery. So much for saving money this fortnight....Chris has brought himself a new cricket bat and ball. This afternoon (Sunday) we are heading down to the cricket nets so he can have a hit with an Indian guy who also works with ADRA. Chris has been keen to have a hit all weekend, but neither Alesia or I have our bowling arms in suitable condition to be competitive.
So, not much news from us. I could provide samples of writing from my uni essay, but post-bureaucracy is not that riviting for everyone!
Take care
