Hometown tourists

My friend Kym commented that we are great at being local tourists. I guess so, I know I like to get out and see things when on holiday, and that includes when we are holidaying at "home". We head back to Mongolia in four days, so here are some pictures of our tourist visits (Victoria only, a separate post will deal with Sydney!)

Williamstown (free)

CERES Environmental Park - Brunswick (free)

Yarra Valley National Parks (free)

Mt Dona Buang Lookout (free)

Healsville Wildlife Sanctuary

Tree Kangaroos like avodado at Melbourne Zoo

Giving a tiger a treat, behind the scenes at Melbourne Zoo

Victorian State Rose Garden (free)

Mansion at Werribee Park

Confusing tourist sign at Werribee Park, watch out for that recreating

Museum of Victoria (free for kids)

St Paul's Cathedral (free)

Federation Square and National Gallery Victoria (free, except the ride on the ferris wheel)

We still have four days to go. Plans are to visit the Iain Potter Children's Garden at the botanical gardens, and maybe see a live performance of Wind in the Willows. Who knows what else we may fit in before flying back to the freezer!
