We flew down to Melbourne on 18 December, just in time for Rosa's birthday. Rosa is the daughter of one of Chris' best friends from high school. Chris is her Godfather, a role he feels that he is not filling that well by living overseas. Alesia sees Rosa once a year. They sort of remember each other, check out their latest developmental milestones and are usually best friends by the end of the first visit. This year Rosa's birthday was at a local fitness centre. Below Aleisa is running wild behind Rosa having a go with a skipping rope.

After the skipping and running all the kids got in the pool. Alesia loves to swim and can swim alone without any floatation aids now. Keira took a while to get used to the water again.
Most of our old school friends have kids now. Below is Chris sitting with another school friend, Paul.
Present time: Note the concern on Alesia's face. Will Rosa like the present (it came all the way from Mongolia)? Will she like the handmade card we did that morning?
Big smiles from Rosa, so the card and gift must have been ok!
