Friends in the kitchen

The other day Natalie said she would take me to where she gets photos printed. I loaded up my memory drive and got a load of 5x7 prints for about 18 cents each. We can't get blutack here, but double-sided tape is everywhere. Normally I wouldn't put sticky tape on the walls of a rented apartment, but the rules are different here in Mongolia, so up the photos went in our white kitchen. The place is very cheery now, and when we eat we sit and talk about the photos we like.

Here is the view of the rest of the kitchen. We had a highly dangerous stove and oven, that gave me many burns because it was as hot on the outside as it was on the inside. Only two of the hotplates worked and they took about 15 mintues to warm up. So I arranged for a new one (bit of church lobbying so ADRA did not have to pay!) and I chose it last week. It is sitting nicely in the kitchen and has halved my cooking time.

Keira climbs chairs now and we find her in many scary places. A favourite is to climb up the chair in front of the computer and then sit on the desk and move the mouse around. So far we have not lost any important documents!
